Yay!  You found my new blog site!

So this post is just a fun update about what I am getting to do this semester while here in Georgia.

Theatre has been a hobby of mine for many years and is something that I have severely missed over the last few years of seminary and travelling.  Since being here in Georgia, I have researched different theatres and shows that were getting ready to be performed so that I could participate.

I found one! I auditioned and have been casted for three supporting roles in the play version of Miracle on 34th Street.  I play the bag lady, Sharon’s parent, and Halloran (a judge’s campaign manager).

While this is a craft that I thoroughly enjoy, I was really looking for an avenue out of the Christian bubble that I live and work with.  There is nothing wrong with living in this bubble, but when you have been given a heart for seeing the lost be found and the dead come to life, I needed to get out of this bubble.

So I now get to interact within the thearte world once again two nights a week at rehearsal and on Saturday mornings.  It is a wonderful thing to be surrounded by theatre geeks once again.

My performances will be on December 4-6, 11-13, and 18-20.  Friday and Saturday night performances are at 8:00p.m. and Sunday afternoon performances begin at 2pm.

I am extremely thankful to be able to have this opportunity.  Stay tuned for more updates and happenings from my life and time here in Georgia!
