Rewritten!

A day or two after I posted my last blog about being Unwritten, I had a very beautiful encounter with a mighty woman of God.  We had a long term missionary retreat going on that week and so we had a handful of missionaries from around the globe here in Gainesville for a time of rest and rejuvenating.  On the last full day of this retreat, the missions track was meeting and worshiping with these missionaries.  The missionary couples who have spent the last 20+ years in mission work here in the States and abroad had the opportunity to pray over us as we move forward with God has planned for us.

I stood in the back of the room debating if I wanted to go stand in line to be prayed for because I didn’t know what was planned for me or where in the world I was going to be going.  As I stood there debating back and forth as to whether or not to go, I got the sudden feeling that I definitely needed to be prayed over for this unknown.  So I went and stood in line.

When I was being prayed for by the first couple, I felt a sense of peace about the future whatever it held.  When I got to the second couple, the wife asked me where I was going.  I was honest with her and told her I had no idea where I was going or what I was going to do.  She looked at me with eyes full of joy and said that is the best place you can be!  It took me a second to realize the weight of what she had just said.  She was the first person to completely support me in the unknown and not mention an option or possible future endeavor.

She continued to encourage me in the unknown of my future plans by saying that not having a specific location around the globe is a beautiful place to be because it allows the Father’s presence to be my destination.  It allows me to fully and completely seek His face, His presence, His love, His truth, His peace, and everything else about Him wherever He takes me.  No matter the country, state, or city, His presence is my destination.  He is whom I seek.  He is on whom I focus.  He is my purpose.  He is my plan.  He is home.  He is my strength.  He is my all.

With this truth and realization, I have future has gone from unwritten to rewritten.  Rewritten into Him.  Rewritten for Him.  Rewritten with Him.

I am REWRITTEN!
